This Buyer Policy explains how purchasing works on Qraftiq.

By placing an order, you agree to this policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

Qraftiq is a marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers across Africa.

Each shop is responsible for its own products, policies, and customer service.

1. Before You Buy

1.1 Read Seller Policies

Each seller may have their own rules for:

  • Processing times
  • Returns & exchanges
  • Cancellation
  • Packaging
  • Custom orders

Buyers are responsible for reading and understanding the seller’s policies before placing an order.

Qraftiq cannot override a seller’s policies unless they violate marketplace rules.

1.2 Product Information

Buyers should review:

  • Photos
  • Measurements
  • Materials
  • Processing time
  • Shipping details
  • Variations (size, color, etc.)

If you need clarification, message the seller before purchasing.

2. Placing an Order

When you buy on Qraftiq:

  • You are purchasing directly from an individual seller
  • You must provide accurate delivery information
  • You will receive email updates about your order, including tracking when available

If the seller cannot fulfill the order, they may cancel it and you will be refunded automatically.

3. Payments

Qraftiq handles payments securely through trusted payment providers.

Buyers can use available payment options at checkout.

Payment is collected immediately when you place your order.

4. Shipping & Delivery

4.1 Seller Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Preparing and shipping your order on time
  • Using the shipping method shown on the listing
  • Providing tracking when available
  • Packaging items safely

4.2 Incorrect Delivery Information

If the buyer enters the wrong address:

  • The seller is not responsible for delays or delivery issues
  • Refunds may not be possible
  • Additional shipping fees may apply

4.3 Delivery Confirmation

Orders are considered delivered when:

  • The tracking shows delivery, OR
  • You confirm receipt in your dashboard

5. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

5.1 Cancellation Requests
Buyers may request cancellation of an order before the seller ships the item.
Cancellation requests must be approved by the seller. Sellers may decline cancellation requests if the order has already been prepared, packaged, or shipped.
If payment has already been processed, any non-refundable payment processing fees may be deducted from the refund, where applicable.
Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled and must follow the seller’s return policy instead.
Custom, personalized, or made-to-order items may not be eligible for cancellation once production has begun.

5.2 Returns & Refunds

Return eligibility depends on:

  • The seller’s shop policies
  • The type of product (some items may not be eligible for return)
  • The condition of the returned item

If an item arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Defective
  • Significantly not as described

The buyer must contact the seller within the timeframe stated in the seller’s shop policy.
If the seller does not respond or a dispute cannot be resolved, Qraftiq may assist with mediation.

Returned items must be sent back in their original condition unless they arrived damaged or defective.

5.3 Return Shipping Costs
Unless the seller’s shop policy states otherwise:

  • Buyers pay return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.
  • Sellers are responsible for return shipping costs only when the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.

6. Disputes & Support

If there is a problem with an order:

  • 1. Contact the seller first
  • 2. Provide photos and clear details
  • 3. Allow the seller time to respond

If a resolution cannot be reached, Qraftiq may step in to review the case.

Qraftiq may issue refunds at our discretion in cases of:

  • Fraud
  • Abuse
  • Seller inactivity
  • Policy violations

7. Reviews & Community Guidelines

Buyers may leave honest reviews based on their experience.

  • Reviews must be respectful and factual
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior are not allowed
  • Manipulation of reviews (positive or negative) is prohibited

Qraftiq may remove reviews that violate these guidelines.

8. Fraud & Abuse

Qraftiq may restrict or suspend buyers for:

  • Fraudulent chargebacks
  • Abusive behavior towards sellers or support
  • Misuse of the platform
  • Repeated policy violations

We aim to keep Qraftiq a safe and trusted community.

9. Marketplace Role

Qraftiq:

  • Does not manufacture or ship products
  • Is not the seller of goods
  • Facilitates payments, visibility, and communication
  • Supports dispute resolution but is not the final decision-maker in all seller policies
